Phil was born in Audubon, Iowa on February 7th, 1957 and moved to Florida in 1967 with his family amidst the buzz of the Space Program in which Phil and Sid’s father was employed. Two years later, Phil and his family moved to New Smyrna Beach to open a small town theater on Canal St.
Phil helped manage the New Smyrna Theater until 1975 when he began his college education at Daytona Beach Community College, earning an A.A. in 1977. He then went on to graduate from both the Stetson Business School (1979) and Stetson College of Law (1981). He was admitted into the Florida Bar the following year.
During Phil’s last year of Law School he had the opportunity to intern with the State Attorney’s Office in St. Petersburg. Influenced by the internship, Phil went on to become successful in the State Attorney’s Office, where he served in the Special Prosecution Division and ultimately became a Felony Division Chief in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. Phil now brings this tremendous and unique experience to the world of criminal defense and family law. Since joining his brother Sid and Sid’s Father-in-Law at DeLoach and Peterson, PA, Phil has built and earned a reputation for integrity, zealous representation, efficiency, and results.
